From the early 15th century until 1787 in Prague, Jews were restricted to a tiny plot of land in which they could legally be buried - in the heart of the historic Jewish Ghetto one can still see the Old Jewish Cemetery. For centuries Jews were forced to pile the bodies of their loved ones on top of one another - a stone forest of gravestones with deep roots of bones.
